Sustainability and Energy Management

Because Unifier offers the most complete asset lifecycle tools in the industry, it is not only easy to track consumption and emissions for an asset, but also to design and construct the asset with consumption and emissions goals in mind. Numerous industry guidelines for construction – such as LEED certification and Energy Star ratings – can be used as parameters for design and construction. In-house and partner users can be granted access to the information they need, and design activities can reference the latest versions easily.

Unifier offers sustainability and energy management capabilities as part of the IWMS product suite – including business process and workflow engine, asset management, cost management, industry leading reporting and dashboard tools, and seamless integration with accounting systems. Track energy management metrics when other O&M activities are managed in Unifier, including electricity and gas usage as well as carbon, wastewater and solid waste emissions when utility bills are submitted and payments are made. If usage and emissions goals are set for the organization or for individual assets, these goals can be tracked in dashboards over time for compliance. When regulations or goals change, these limits can be reset once in Unifier and automatically applied to all relevant assets. If metrics trend negatively, specific recommendations can be made and implemented before annual goals are actually missed. Tax credits and subsidies for “green” projects can also be tracked and measured against the costs of conforming over time.
