Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Chooses Skire Unifier to
Integrate Capital Project Finance and Delivery Infrastructure
Solution to Simplify Tracking Multiple Funding Sources and State Reporting
MENLO PARK, CA, November 27, 2007 –Skire, Inc. (www.skire.com), the leading provider of capital program, integrated workplace, and project portfolio management software, today announced that Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), one of the nation’s leading cancer centers, has chosen Unifier™ to manage capital projects in its Design and Construction Department. MSKCC will use Unifier for integrating its project finance and delivery infrastructures to improve project budget, contract, and invoice tracking. The agreement further strengthens Skire’s presence in healthcare, where growing demands on healthcare providers are requiring institutions to expand, upgrade, or build new facilities.
Skire Unifier will replace a proprietary system that MSKCC had outgrown, as well as add critical new functionality that enables the institution to easily track multiple projects and funding sources. Unifier will also greatly simplify MSKCC’s ability to meet the New York State Department of Health’s Certificate of Need (CON) reporting and management requirements.
“We selected Unifier for its superb configurability, as well as for its comprehensive functionality,” said George Mejias, director of MSKCC’s Design and Construction Department. “The solution is easy to map to our unique workflow processes, such as our invoice barcode tracking application. Unifier will allow us to quickly automate critical business processes and accelerate productivity for all of our users.”
MSKCC expects to integrate Unifier with the institution’s finance, contract administration, and administration collaboration applications to gain greater control over budget and cost tracking. Approximately 100 staff members will use the solution, and eventually it will expand to provide access to project data for external partners such as architects and contractors.
“Healthcare organizations increasingly must manage and account for large, complex capital project budgets and programs,” said Sateez Kadivar, Skire’s vice president of operations. “We are delighted that Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center has chosen Unifier, and look forward to working closely with its team as we move towards implementation.”
